In a world of uncertainty, it’s nice to get some perspective. I envy full-time travel bloggers who get to see new horizons each morning and explore the farthest corners of the earth: finding true bliss in the unfamiliarity.
During my own travels, I’ve found that there are certain places that just make you feel good: whether its the emotions attached to the location or just a plain beautiful place. But sometimes finding your happy zone is right at the end of your comfort zone.
Nevertheless, these are my favourite places to relax, take in the world and gain perspective, as cliche as it sounds. Everyone’s favourite spots across the globe are completely different, but here’s mine:
St Ives Bay, Cornwall, UK (featured here)
Poolside (just about anywhere)
O2 Academy, Manchester, UK
Funchal Garden, Madeira (featured here)
Budgewoi Sunrise, Central Coast, Australia (featured here)
My local dog-walking spot
Chinese Garden of Friendship, Sydney (featured here)
Park Guell, Barcelona, Spain (featured here)
Nine Arch Bridge, Ella, Sri Lanka (featured here)
In my car, or any car, as long as I have the driver’s seat and dibs on the music
The Lounge, Plymouth, UK (featured here)
A good coffee shop, that doesn’t raise an eyebrow when I order decaf
Each place holds a memory, with stories told on my blog or just saved in my head for when I need a reminder that life is beautiful and we can find our happy place at any given moment, you just don’t know what’s around the corner!
Love and peace xo
